The Chinese emperor, Chen Nung, is believed to have invented tea a few thousand years before.One of his theories was that water should be boiled as an protection against diseases that could affect health.According to legend one summer day when he was traveling to a distant region in his kingdom he stopped off his tiring journey for a rest.By chance, a few leaves blowing into his bowl from a close by shrub. Enticed by the fragrance of tea-implanted water, a study was taken by the emperor. He was so satisfied with his taste and properties that he ordered the small tea trees to be planted in the gardens of the palace creating at the Chinese Royal Court a tradition of tea drinking.
A Chienese Rancher Green Tea Legend
Another story says a Chinese rancher was taking a brief snooze, heating up some water under a Camellia Sinensis tree. A few dried leaves dripped into the bubbling water and exuded a delicious fragrance. Arose the rancher, had a taste and, boom! Prepared some tea! This was approximately 4000 years ago and some say the rancher was spiritual.
