Tannirbavi beach is a penensula where we can see many houses in and around surrounded by trees.
Three locations can be found in Tannarbavi Beach.
  • Fathima Beach, first
  • Sultan Battery, which is a stunning location that you may get by boat.
  • A popular tourist destination with a maritime museum is Tannirbavi Tree Park.

Wonderful public beach. Soft sand, shallow water, gentle waves, attentive lifeguards, and beautiful sunset views make it ideal for children to splash around in. And quite tidy for such a big metropolis. Overall, my kids and I thought it was fantastic.

Recommendation for international (and domestic) visitors: Since it's a public beach, avoid wearing skimpy beachwear there. No one will trouble you; it's only that, out of respect for the locals, it didn't seem right for us to dress in skimpy beachwear. Beachwear that is more modest should be acceptable.
Definitely worth going to when in Mangalore, if only for the surf and the sunset.
Don't hesitate; just do it.

One of Karnataka's most stunning beaches, Tilmati Beach is a must-visit location while planning a tour of the Karwar region. This small beach has a dark tint due to the coarse black sand made from basaltic rock. The word "tilmati" means "sesame sand" or "sand that resembles sesame." It is believed that the waves striking the nearby basaltic rocks caused this 200-meter stretch of black sand to appear. It is also thought that the fine black sand that River Kali carried to this location is dumped into the Arabian Sea.
